Black &Daiter, LLP

Michael Ian Black is the senior partner of the law firm of Black & Daiter, LLP. He established the Law Firm of Michael Ian Black in 1972 and has been specializing in Divorce and Family Law ever since. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 1967. In addition to being admitted to practice law in the State of New York, Mr. Black is also admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Mr. Black has testified as an expert on family law issues. He is currently a member of the American Bar Association (Family law division) and New York State Trial Lawyers Association as well as a proud father of two successful children.

Ian C. Daiter has been with the firm since 1996 and became a partner in January of 2000. Originally from Canada, he was admitted to the Bars of the State of Connecticut in December 1994 and State of New York in March 1995. Additionally Mr. Daiter is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York as well as the Supreme Court of the United States of America. He is currently a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Lawyer's Fund for Client Protection for work done on behalf of clients who have been wronged by other attorneys.

Lissa Luke is "of counsel" to the firm. She is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School. In addition to being admitted to practice law in the State of New York, Ms. Luke is also admitted to practice law in the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Ms. Luke is an active member of the New York City and State Bar Associations.

Rafael Alardo is the firm's Office Manager and Senior Paralegal having over fifteen years of law office experience. Ralph oversees all of the day to day functions of the firm, ranging from the busy Court calendar to the office computer network. He is a graduate of the American Bar Association approved Paralegal studies program at Bronx Community College and a paralegal member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. Born and raised in New York City, Ralph is actively involved in the local community and is a Deacon in his local church. He is the proud father of two lovely daughters and is fluent in Spanish.
